The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) announced its officers and board members for the coming year. The new chair of the board of directors is Jason Rainey, vice president, NAPA AutoCare/AAA. John Wolf, president, Snap-on Business Solutions, is serving as vice chair. Tom Palermo, general manager, Preferred Automotive Specialists holds the role of treasurer, while John Hanighen, president and CEO at Cloyes Manufacturing, is secretary. Last year’s chair, Tom Trisdale, vice president, quality for Toyota, is now serving as past chair.
ASE said it elected one new member to the board of directors, Ryan Kooiman, director of training, Standard Motor Products. In addition, four new governors were selected for the ASE board of governors: Victor Cummings, vice president, service operations, Rush Enterprises; Daniel Mustafa, director, technical service, TravelCenters of America; Chris Sanderson, manager technician development and lean inspection support, Hendrick Automotive Group; and Travis Zmak, general manager, Teton Automotive Group.
Three individuals have transitioned from the board after serving their board terms: Mike McRoberts, COO, Rush Enterprises; Roger Mesiemore, vice president – fixed operations, Hendrick Automotive Group; and Kevin Looney, owner, Kevin’s Diesel Service.
